Bloody Monday – First Aid Training

Once monthly we would hold “bloody Monday First aid training. Scout leadership(PL and SPL) would plan the event so when scouts arrived they would be presented a scenario and told to ‘do their best’. One patrol was leading the charge this particular night when suddenly they were presented a situation they had not planned for and were unsure what to do. One scout finally blurted out, “lets call a doctor”. He dialed on his pretend phone – no doctor! Then he said, “I know, I’ll call the golf course – there’s always a doctor there”!
Problem solved and life saved by quick thinking!
