People and Leadership Skills Led to Significant Local Government Management

My Scouting journey started as an 8 year old Cub Scout in Minnesota. Later I joined troop 204 in Dayton OH with my entire Cub pack. We all made Eagle Scout, and completed our youth membership as Explorers. Troop/Pack 204 was excellent, great camping, travel, jamborees and terrific meetings. Only two other experiences in my younger life were as critical in the formation of Management and life skills as were BSA.

I had a long, successful career as a City Manager, Adjunct Professor of Finance and Management, and consultant to local governments. I often quietly thanked my good fortune in being trained in leadership and often marveled at my ability to get things done!
