Shaped My Life

I was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout, but grew up in a family that wasn’t “outdoorsy.” I learned to love to hike, camp, and spend time outdoors. As an adult and Scout parent, I have learned more about how the Scouting program taught me leadership skills as a youth, and how to further improve them as an adult. I learned the value of volunteerism, and citizenship, connection, and keeping youth safe, and developed into the citizens that we need.

Scouting has been something that my whole family has benefitted in. My children have been Scouts and all have benefited from participating in Scouting. The more active they are in Scouting, the better people they become.
